The directors of LPH have over 150 years of combined experience in their respective fields of expertise.

Martin Luyt, co-founder and managing director of the firm, started his career in 1988, working in some of the largest local and international audit firms. He has been involved in a significant number of large business transactions and has built up a diverse portfolio of local and international clients. Martin believes in going above and beyond for our clients.

Nicholas Hall, co-founder and director of LPH, qualified as a Chartered Accountant of South Africa after completing his training at Amery Clark & Associates in 1996. He moved to Guernsey where he worked for an international audit firm, gaining experience in listed property funds, investment funds, insurance and banking industries. Due to Nicholas’ vast technical knowledge, he is able to provide clients with accounting, taxation , auditing, consulting and company secretarial services.

Craig Kempen joined LPH as a director in 2007 and has gained over 17 years’ experience in professional business services, specifically auditing and assurance, accounting, taxation and consulting. Although exposed to numerous industries, Craig’s preference has been to work mainly with property, hospitality, tourism and non-profit organisations. When it comes to hard work and diligence, he believes that the proof is in the pudding. Craig’s strong work ethic inspires our employees to believe in the moral benefit and importance of work.

Konrad Nelson graduated from Stellenbosch University with a B.Acc Hons degree in 2006. He joined an international audit firm, where he was involved with audits of large listed financial services entities with a specific focus on unit trust investments and fund management. Konrad is passionate about training. Since joining LPH in 2012, he has developed interactive and topical internal training material and facilitated many training sessions with great enthusiasm.

Moeneer Edwards first joined LPH as a trainee accountant in 2002 when LPH was first established. After successfully completing his training, he registered as a Professional Accountant South Africa and moved into an accounting role in the firm. Moeneer has gained over 17 years of experience over a vast range of industries and clients. He was recently appointed as a director of LPH and currently continues to serve a large portfolio of clients.

Kashiefa Edwards started her professional career in 1999 and soon joined LPH in 2002. With over 20 years’ of experience and her first-class legal secretarial expertise, she is able to provide our clients with unparalleled service. Kashiefa believes that effective communication is an essential tool in achieving productivity and maintaining strong working relationships.

Leia van der Horst, recently appointed as a director, joined LPH in 2008. Leia went on to complete her PDCA in Taxation through the University of Pretoria in 2013. Since then, Leia has lead a phenomenally efficient team of tax professionals, providing a range of services to our clients.

Mark Eckermann, recently appointed as a director, has more than 20 years’ experience in the field of accounting. After graduating in 1996 from the University of Cape Town with a BCom in Accounting and Information Systems, he went on to gain 13 years of commerce experience. Mark joined LPH in 2013 as the Financial Manager of the firm as well as managing a portfolio of international clients. Mark understands that managers and leaders serve different functions and that both are essential in organisations that operate in changing environments.
